The most redoubtable competitors of McQueen on the way to this Piston Cup are : the aggressive runner-up Chick Hicks and racing veteran Strip “The King” Weathers.
On the way to Califotnia to take part in the racing cup, McQueen was lost. He is detoured onto U.S route 66 and then found himself in a small town named Radiator Springs where there are only handful of businesses and no local traffic. McQueen has destroyed the main street of the town and is required to repair it before leaving to continue his journey to California. During the time in Radiator Springs. McQueen formed friendship with people around, he fell in love with Sally and got a lot of racing experience from Doc Hudson. These all helped to ease the aggressiveness in him. He understand that the fame is not the most important thing life. Love and friendship are better.
McQueen take part in the racing in California and become the hero when he stop the race to push The king to the end while Chick Hick cross the finish line.
